Marchesi 1824 presents a sweet, intense reinterpretation of the classic artisan Panettone: the Pear, Cinnamon & Ginger Panettone. In this grand leavened cake, the classic Marchesi 1824 dough—patiently slow-leavened using only the house sourdough starter—is enhanced with premium ingredients such as cinnamon, semi-candied pear and ginger. Compared with common yeasts, sourdough requires more time and care to allow microorganisms to develop, imparting multiple beneficial qualities and a unique flavour.
