An elegant tin with Christmas decorations contains the classic 1 kg artisanal Marchesi 1824 Pandoro, distinguished by its unmistakable golden colour, achieved using fresh butter from the Piedmont hills and fresh free-range eggs. Its aroma is enriched with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, while the dough is slow-leavened with the exclusive Marchesi 1824 sourdough starter, which gives the Pandoro its inimitable softness. Compared with common yeasts, sourdough requires more time and care to allow microorganisms to develop, delivering multiple beneficial qualities and a unique flavour.
