Marchesi 1824 Veneziana is distinguished by the unmistakable contrast between its soft dough, the result of over two centuries of passion and expertise, and its crisp almond glaze. This 1 kg traditional festive cake delights the palate with a delicate and fresh flavour, derived from premium ingredients such as naturally candied Sicilian orange peel, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, Italian honey and eggs, all blended into a slowly leavened dough made exclusively with the Marchesi 1824 natural sourdough starter. Compared to more common yeasts, production with natural sourdough requires greater time and care, allowing the development of microorganisms that provide numerous beneficial qualities and a unique flavour.
