In the heart of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a place deeply connected to the history of Milan and Prada, Prada Galleria takes shape: a project that brings together fashion, art, culture, hospitality and memory, transforming one of the city’s most iconic addresses into a place to explore and discover.
It was here, in 1913, that Mario Prada founded Fratelli Prada. Today, more than a century later, the same place once again tells the story of the Maison through a constellation of different spaces and languages, from the collections to Pradasphere, from art to hospitality.
Within this world, Marchesi 1824 embodies the dimension devoted to pastry, with its iconic café located above the Prada Men’s boutique. A presence that has belonged to this place for years and continues to accompany the life of the city through the rituals of Milanese coffee tradition.
Breakfast, an afternoon pause, a moment shared over a pastry creation or a cup of coffee: small everyday gestures that, over time, have helped define the Marchesi 1824 experience and its relationship with Milan.
Founded in 1824, Marchesi 1824 carries with it more than two centuries of history, which continues to evolve through its creations and an approach to hospitality deeply rooted in the city. Its presence within Prada Galleria thus becomes part of a broader narrative, where different identities and disciplines coexist and converge.
To mark the opening of Pradasphere—the first permanent exhibition dedicated to Prada’s history and creative universe—and the project’s new spaces, Marchesi 1824 celebrates this dialogue with two original creations inspired by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: a hand-decorated biscuit and an individual chocolate dessert that reinterpret the celebrated façade through the language of pastry.
A tribute to Milan and one of its most recognisable symbols, through two creations that transform architecture, history and memory into an experience to be savoured.
