Description
Marchesi 1824 Pandoro is the result of over two centuries of passion and expertise. Presented with its signature dusting of vanilla sugar, this traditional festive cake reveals beneath its delicate white coating the unmistakable golden hue imparted by fresh butter sourced from the hills of Piedmont. Its aroma is enriched by Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, while the dough is slowly leavened using exclusively the Marchesi 1824 natural sourdough starter, giving the Pandoro its distinctive softness. Compared to more common yeasts, production with natural sourdough requires greater time and care, allowing the development of microorganisms that provide numerous beneficial qualities and a unique flavour.
