Description
The result of almost two centuries of research and passion, Pandoro Marchesi 1824 presents itself with its classic veil of vanilla sugar. Beneath the white sugar veil, the great leavened product presents its unmistakable golden colour obtained by using fresh butter from the Piedmont hills and fresh eggs from free-range hens. The aroma is enriched by Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, while everything is blended into a slow-rising dough, thanks to the exclusive use of Marchesi 1824 sourdough starter, which gives Pandoro its unmistakable softness. Compared to more common yeasts, production with mother yeast requires more time and care to allow the development of the micro-organisms that give multiple beneficial qualities and a unique flavour.
